Ferdaouis (fur-dos) is a peace and conflict transformation practitioner with a passion for inter-faith, gender, and youth dialogue facilitation and training. Growing up in a large Muslim and Christian family she has been inspired by the example of her spiritual parents and relatives who give their time to helping their communities, educating others, and working for peace.

Ferdaouis believes in the power of theater and other arts to connect and generate understanding among people, and loves to incorporate it in her work wherever possible. She has spent over three years working with the U.S. Institute of Peace, has worked with dialogue initiatives in the Washington, DC area, and has previously worked with the U.S. Department of State.

Ferdaouis has a M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University, and a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Florida. In her spare time she teaches yoga and is a supporter of environmental and ethical consumption, with a growing tendency towards veganism.
