The Fly By Light program provides youth the opportunity to learn and express themselves emotionally and artistically in a safe environment. Through a series of after-school workshops culminating with retreats into National Parks, the youth develop a sense of efficacy and self-esteem while learning the skills necessary to resolve conflict and communicate nonviolently to become responsible, emotionally literate adults who are the environmental stewards of our future.

In addition, our youth learn the art of grassroots organizing, of recruitment and marketing skills, the art of delegation, coalition building, and the power of collaborative planning and shared leadership. Their focus is to create a substantive shift in the incidence of youth violence throughout their school and communities.
